If they don’t “see” the vision, they can’t support

Hello there {{first_name}} ,

Bliss House started as an upscale Bed and Breakfast in DC. At the time, I was living in the first home I owned, a beautiful 3 level brand new townhome that I helped design from the flooring to the cabinet handles.

This was the home I intended to start a family in but by the end of of 2016, I found myself separating from my then husband and alone in a house that was now too big.

I started with “The Owner’s Suite” because it already had the best bed in the house and a really nice garden tub. I opened the room on the weekends while I worked as a Director of an elementary charter school. I served home cooked breakfast, and even offered custom experiences like private food tours by partnering with local services providers.

I was able to sell out every weekend and eventually expanded to all 3 bedrooms on the top floor. I made a room for myself on the bottom level.

Throwback 2017: Event planning meeting

By April 2017, I was resigning from my top career position and going all in on Bliss House. I opened the the main space to co-working sessions with local artists and entrepreneurs, and eventually started hosting events.

I didn’t realize how important creating media was for Bliss House, I just did it because at the time I loved creating content on Instagram. Looking back I realize, people were sold on the vision first. The literal vision of Bliss House was shared through images and videos.

Fast Forward to 2026

I was forced to sell Bliss House, and therefore the whole business, after a 3 year divorce battle in federal court. This is what brought me to Miami in 2019. My mother was living here and I needed a different kind of home experience.

Thankfully, I never lost the brand because brands can’t be taken, only forgotten about.

As much as I love my cute family home in Coconut Grove, it is in no way suitable for a Bliss House event. I was stuck on the vision because of this for a long time.

I’ve had recurring dreams about being in gorgeous homes. I’ve had vivid visions of hosting events in visually stunning locations. The only thing missing was my ability to bring this vision fully forward so I could share it.

I was lacking the direction needed to bring Bliss House back to life.

I couldn’t imagine what was waiting to be revealed.

After a 2 week spiritual fast, the vision started unfolding before me. I started journaling again, brainstorming, and quietly testing ideas with my inner circle.

Then one morning, I got an impulse to search for a location to host the event and within a couple hours, I was putting down a full payment on a Miami Estate for an overnight pre-launch event.

The vision had come to fruition and now I could share it. I used Lovable to put together an event landing page and started sharing it with a list of 33 invitees.

Within a week, the initial investment was covered through Founder tickets and sponsorship agreements.

Biggest lesson: I’ll never launch alone again.

I start every project, whether it’s with a non-profit team or an individual client, with a vision session. We talk vision for 1-2 hours sometimes before moving forward. I can’t express how critical this has been for going from 3 month projects to recurring projects lasting over a year.

What’s Next for Bliss House

Founders Residence was only the beginning. A taste of what’s to come. A pre-launch.

This event allowed me to share the vision with 15 women founders, the sponsors who support them and their VIP guests. We’ll now be expanding the vision to our broader communities and fine tuning our signature offers for the main event where we’ll be launching together.

Soon, I’ll be sharing the updated Bliss House platform featuring founder and sponsor directories, plus more information about the upcoming 3-Day Activation Weekend which will fully prepare our founders and sponsors for the Late-Spring Launch.
